You will be involved in carrying out maintenance works across our buildings and grounds, involving a large variety of work from opening and closing corporate buildings, fire alarm testing, painting and decorating to insurance asset inspection's.


If you like a role that offers variety and each working day to be different, this is the job for you.

This post is based on shift pattens which rotate within the team. Shifts are 06:30 - 14:30, 12:30 - 20:30 and 08:00 - 16:00.

You will need to have a basic knowledge and understanding of health and safety and manual handling, a good mannerism for problem solving and be flexible with working hours and work well as a team or an individual.

This post meets the requirements for an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. This will show spent and unspent convictions and adult cautions which have not been filtered in line with legislation, plus any information held by local Police that is considered relevant to the role.

Interviews are expected to be conducted during the week commencing 3rd June 2024.

Skills:


Essential:

  • Full driving licence with no more than 6 points.
  • Ability to lift and move office furniture and other heavy items.
  • Working well within a team or as an individual.
  • Confident using hand tools battery and petrol powered.
  • A very basic knowledge of maintenance work.

As this post meets the requirements of the Immigration Act 2016 (part 7), the ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.

Knowledge:


Essential:

  • A good understanding of Health and Safety.
  • An understanding of Manual Handling.
  • An understanding of working at height.
  • A good understanding of the use of hand and power tools.

Experience & Qualifications:


Essential:

  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent relevant experience.
  • A full driving licence to enable the driving of the Facilities Management vehicles.
