Description

We are looking for a passionate, influential Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) leader to join our team in the Northern region.

The role will be based across our projects in Central Scotland, with an initial focus on our Haymarket project in Edinburgh.

There may be a requirement at times to travel to provide support to other projects across the region inline with operational requirements.

_Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager_ role
The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) department supports the business to reduce HS&W risk and create positive working environments.

At SRM, our goal is to achieve industry leading HS&W performance.

Your profile
Essential

  • Member of IOSH working towards Chartered Status
  • Excellent people leadership skills
  • Experience of providing highly technical H&S support to complex Construction or Civil Engineering projects within Tier 1 contractors
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience of leading HS&W improvement with successful results
  • A proactive approach to your own learning and development

Desired:

  • Chartered member of IOSH
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Mental Health First Aider
  • Senior Leadership Team experience
  • Experience of managing direct reports
  • Sound understanding of behavioural psychology and human factors
  • Involvement in external HS&W working groups
