Hourly Rate:
£6.00 per hour (due to increase with service length)


Job Overview:


Paneltex is offering an exciting opportunity for a Design and Draughtsperson Apprentice to join our team in Kingston Upon Hull, to work alongside Design and Manufacturing engineers learning to create and amend technical drawings and documentation for design and manufacturing use.

You would be part of a busy team and as so be expected to help with key duties alongside your apprenticeship.


Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Creating and managing technical documents
  • Creating and amending technical drawings
  • Creating and amending manufacturing documents and procedures
  • Support projects whilst in production as and when required
  • Working with the manufacturing teams recording build data
  • Attending internal Departmental meetings, taking notes, following through with dates and responses
  • Support the Design and Manufacturing Engineers with project work
  • Be familiar with all company policies procedures

Skills:


  • Experience/understanding of CAD software (desirable)
  • Computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to read and understand detailed engineering drawings (desirable)
  • Practical with a very high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to tight deadlines
  • High work ethic & team player
  • Effective communication includes speaking, writing, active listening and taking instructions
  • Basic understanding of Health and Safety
  • Punctual & reliable

Qualifications:


  • GCSE Level 5 or above in English
  • GCSE Level 5?or above in Maths

Apprenticeship Details:


This Design and Draughtsperson Apprentice at Paneltex will offer you a unique opportunity to gain practical experience while working alongside industry experts.

The apprenticeship program will typically run for 42 months and will provide you with valuable on-the-job training, supplemented by theoretical learning to enhance your skills and knowledge.


Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be supported by a dedicated mentor who will guide you in your professional development and assist you in achieving your career goals.
