NSF is currently looking for a
Technical Scheme Lead - Social Accountability to join our team.

In this role, you support the management and strategic growth of the scheme globally, maintaining the accreditations or approvals by scheme owners as applicable, managing the relationships with the scheme owners and establishing the processes to deliver the certification to all our clients globally.

Ensuring all teams involved Agriculture Business Leads with their corresponding local service functions), Technical teams, Audit Delivery, Sales, follow the processes and scheme rules to deliver an excellent service to Sedex and our associated clients.


Principal accountabilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the development and maintenance of quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance with internal KPIs, KPIs of the standards owners, and accreditation requirements.
  • Maintaining current program accreditations/approvals.
  • Take the lead in achieving new accreditations within given timelines, while maintaining current program accreditations.
  • Main contact with SEDEX for admin and technical issues, systems and databases, complaints, stay informed on versions and regulations, policies etc.
  • Support sales, operations and audit delivery globally to grow and strengthen our relationship with Sedex.
  • Lead the strategy to grow the schemes outside in other regions where applicable.
  • Strategic collaborations in pro of our business with all internal scheme stakeholders.
  • Support the building integrity program elements for their schemes.
  • Support the establishment of requirements for auditors, reviewers, technical individuals.
  • Design and provide training for all technical resources and auditors.
  • Be aware of relevant associations developments.
  • Attend accredited/approval audits and any other activity mandated by the CPOs, follow up on nonconformances.
  • Follow up on complaints, appeals, suspensions.
  • Support audit delivery and Tech Ops to decide additional resources needed.
  • Attend industry events to promote schemes, do networking, collect industry and market information.
  • Support key accounts for the scheme.
  • Auditing to maintain qualifications and potentially witness/approval of auditors.
  • Local general administration and support of the scheme (UK).
  • Conduct SMETA audits for maintenance of qualifications and support witness audit program.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor degree and previous experience in international labour laws, social /ethical schemes.
  • Approved SMETA auditor, Certified Social Compliance Auditor with APSCA.
  • Excellent understanding of the operation of third party Certification/or Unaccredited Schemes within the supply chain
  • Relevant experience and full technical knowledge of SMETA and other social schemes
  • Ability to make difficult and innovative decisions, approaching them in a fair and logical way
  • Challenges conventional thinking, respects legacy strengths but moves quickly to add capabilities and drive change
  • Problem solving skills, establishing root causes and what actions are required to prevent recurring issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to motivate and bring team together to work towards common goals, team player
  • Ability to organize and prioritize the workloads of self and team
  • Motivated, willingness to learn and positive attitude
  • Respect for individual and Company confidentiality rights
  • Proficient with key Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. with a desire to learn new business related software
