Our client is a well established nursery group in London providing exceptional childcare. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a
Nursery Practitioner to join their team.
You will play a vital part in the day-to-day operations of the designated room or the nursery as a whole.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare
Duties:
- Create engaging learning experiences through planned play activities, aligning with adultled and childinitiated initiatives.
- Adapt learning approaches to incorporate new initiatives and directives as required.
- Maintain legal ratios and provide support in different areas of the nursery when needed.
- Supervise children closely during meal times, considering allergy and dietary requirements.
- Attend relevant training courses to enhance professional development, including those related to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Implement policies, procedures, and the EYFS framework effectively.
- Support children during transitions and facilitate necessary paperwork and settlingin sessions.
- Establish strong partnerships with parents/carers, promoting nursery events and maintaining open communication.
- Implement the EYFS curriculum, complying with relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Facilitate keyperson relationships and ensure understanding of roles in building connections with a small group of children and families.
- Maintain high standards of quality in the nursery environment, resources, and experiences provided.
- Ensure children's safety, follow safeguarding procedures, and comply with Food Safety regulations.
- Regularly check, clean, and sterilise toys and resources according to Health and Safety policies.
- Maintain general cleanliness and hygiene of children at all times.
