Teaching Assistant

Job type:
Full time - Monday to Friday.

Age: 5-21 years old

Location:
West Ealing, West London

Pay:
£95 - £100 (depending on experience)

We are looking for teaching assistants to work at a special independent school for boys and girls aged from 5 to 21.

The children and young adults have a range of needs including MLD - Moderate Learning Difficulties and/or SEMH - Social, Emotional and MentalHealth needs.

These can create challenges for them to successfully access the curriculum.

The Role:

Professionalism, positive attitude, and patience
Confidence in the classroom
Good behaviour management
Commitment to quality teaching and supporting the teacher to a high standard
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
Being able to build positive relationships with staff, students, and their parents

Key skills & Experience:

Previous Experience working in a similar setting or with children/adults with SEN/SEMH needs would be desirable but not necessary SEN experience
A passion for education and creating an inspirational environment for children/young adults to flourish within
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong behaviour management
One to one and small group work

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and all employment breaks must be explained
You must have legal right to work in the UK
You must be willing to attend a registration interview

We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
