Description
Our client is a 30-person studio in London, best known as the creators of Monument Valley and more recently Alba: A Wildlife Adventure and Desta: The Memories Between.
They are a multi-discipline team drawing from a diverse range of backgrounds and creativeinfluences; their aim is to craft emotional, surprising experiences, for a broad audience, that change the world's perception of whatinteractive entertainment can be.
They are looking for a Programmer to join the team working on the next instalment of Monument Valley.
You will be collaborating with other disciplines to work on everything from gameplay and mechanics, to core systems and design tools.
You will be joining their hybrid working pattern in their Oval studio in London.Their team is working in the studio two days per week, with the option to come in more often if they like.
What you'll be doing:
- Within a programming team of 34 other programmers, you will be working to upgrade and build brand new systems upon the existing Monument Valley codebase.
- You will have a creative voice throughout development, partnering with other disciplines to create amazing player experiences
- You will help build a codebase that can be iterated during development and is performant and maintainable after release.
- You will be mentored and supported to learn and develop your skills
Requirements:
- You have some experience of the full production cycle, from prototyping and concept development, to production and finalising
- Firm understanding of how to write games in Unity/C#
- Experience working on 3D games and good 3D maths skills
- Experience working with Git
Desirable:
- Mobile development experience
- PC/Console development experience
- Secondary skill sets (game design, art, audio etc.
