Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide effective support to our Litigation Solicitor, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Utilize the case management system to prepare correspondence and maintain organized client files.
- Interact with clients, both in person and over the telephone, addressing their inquiries and needs.
- Perform online searches using HMCTS, Efile portal, HMLR portal, and Companies House.
- Administer filing systems, including daily filing, opening, closing, storage, and retrieval of client files.
- Prepare and dispatch mail, along with arranging scanning and photocopying of paperwork.
- Execute additional duties and responsibilities as required.
- Type and use dictation software for documentation.
- Generate court documents using templates.
- Prepare bundles for court hearings and Counsel.
- Diary key dates onto the central litigation calendar and monitor deadlines.
- Type witness statements and take notes during meetings.
- Record time entries onto the Case management system.
- Prepare monthly bills/invoices on the case management system and send them to clients.
- Work collaboratively towards deadlines, assisting the litigation solicitor in meeting objectives.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Prior experience and knowledge of working in a Litigation department, or a strong desire to acquire such experience.
- Demonstrate initiative by independently conducting searches, ID checks, and other tasks on files without dictation.
- Possess high levels of speed and accuracy in tasks.
- Excellent telephone manner and comfort in communicating with clients both in person and over the phone.
- Highly organized, methodical, and adaptable in handling diverse tasks.
- Proficient typing skills.
