Head of Management Accounting

Salary:
£50,000 - £55,000 pa

Location:
Gainsborough

Our client is a leading niche manufacturing organization, where they are looking to recruit a Head of Management Accounting to join their finance team.

Working closely with the senior management team, you will take ownership of the monthly management accountsand statutory reporting for multiple sites, drive improvements in business performance through financial analysis and budgeting, providing advice and recommendations as appropriate.

Along with overseeing financial reporting obligations in compliance with internaland statutory GAAP requirements.

Key responsibilities for Head of Management Accounting include:

Monthly closing, preparation, review and reporting of management accounts against budgets and forecasts
Manage and mentor team members (3)
Operations reporting including daily KPI reporting
Management accounts to include; P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow, KPI's
Forecasting and annual budget
Management and control of the Purchase and Sales Ledger plus cash book / treasury
Accounting, control and reporting of bad debts
Fixed asset register management
Provision of audit information and management of External and Internal Audit process at local level
Inventory control and valuation

Key experience, skills and abilities for the Head of management accounting position:

Ideally qualified or part qualified accountant (Finance Manager, Management Accountant, Financial Accountant, Reporting Accountant, Financial Controller) ACA / ACCA/CIMA
Demonstrable experience Management Accounts reporting
Experienced in Excel and all other Microsoft office packages
Excellent communication skills, with ability to manage a small team
