Product Owner

Edinburgh, Glasgow, or Newcastle with hybrid working

£60,000 plus bonus and benefits
Change Digital Recruitment is recruiting a Product Owner on behalf of a nationally recognised financial services company.

Based in Edinburgh, Scotland this company provide a broad range of financial products to consumers ranging from savings accounts throughto loans and home insurance.

The role of Product Owner is responsible for building products and managing the product management lifecycle from design and build through to launch and maintenance.

This role can be based out of company offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Newcastle with hybrid working.

The Product Owner will interact with product design, technology and business to come up with innovative ideas to tackle customer problems and translatingcustomer needs to product strategy, vision, roadmap, and backlog.


Key responsibilities:

  • Define and deliver products or solutions that meet customer needs by selecting the best possible approaches available
  • Provide vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and create requirements
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Communicate and explain the story detail and priorities to the Agile team ensuring alignment and agreement on a final plan
  • Provide guidance and training to others on planning, organising, prioritising, and overseeing activities to efficiently meet agreed outcomes
  • Create, review and prioritise the backlog which aligns to the product vision and creates value
  • Work with System and Solution Architects/Engineers to plan and replan the sequencing of releases as they are produced to assist with decision making and ensure timely updates

Experience and skills:

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner for at least 3 years
  • Indepth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Strong communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Highly organised with effective time management skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problemsolving skills
