Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Catalogue incoming property for sale and oversee the photography of each item for the department.
  • Manage to preand postsale administration for the monthly 'Weekly Online' auctions.
  • Manage the catalogue including but not limited to: overseeing authentication, property control keeping track of consignments, research, monitoring special terms in proposals, creating condition reports and condition images for all items, with the help of senior staff.
  • Conduct initial research and liaise with specialists to ensure prompt advice and service excellence to our customers.
  • Continue to develop specialist knowledge and expertise.
  • Continue to explore areas for your professional development.
  • Assist with the general smooth running of the handbag Attending events where necessary.

Key Skills & Attributes

  • Excellent word processing skills, knowledge of MS Word and Excel.
  • Excellent time and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Excellent client service.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Ability to be discrete and maintain confidentiality.
  • Flexibility and the ability to be a team player. Experience in an Auction house, gallery or museum is preferred.
