SEND Teaching Assistant

Rotherham

Full time Long term

£85 - £95.16 per day
Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company.

We are working in partnership with a Secondary school based in Rotherham, who have recently opened a new internal inclusion unit within school to support students with SEND who are struggling to engage in the classroom environment.

You will be working within a specialist satellite division, not the wider school community.


The job

  • The school is looking for someone who is passionate about inclusion and providing additional support, to provide the very best opportunity for allocated students.
  • Have experience working with children of a Secondary age in a Learning Support environment.
  • Have the confidence and ability to challenge negative behaviours and refocus learning engagement.
  • Have an understanding of SEND and provide a calm and nurturing learning environment.
