Credit Controller of construction supply chain company.
About the role:
We are currently recruiting for an individual to join the accounts teams of a single site construction supply chain company as Credit Controller.
In this role, you will be working with the Finance Manager, accounts payable clerk and the Managing Directorto ensure that customers pay in a timely manner and that their queries are resolved quickly.
You will also support the team with a number of other general bookkeeping activities.Role will include:
Accounts Payable
- Allocating credit card and bank payments
- Issuing of statements
- Working with customers and sales team to resolve queries
- Support the opening of new accounts
- Manage escalation including through courts when payments don't come in
General Finance tasks may include:
- Supporting the daily bank reconciliations
- Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing
- Supporting AP Clerk with purchase ledger
- Supporting Team within Office
- Management of invoice discounting facility (e.g. reconciliation)
Experience & skills required:
- Experience of credit control and other general accounts duties
- Understanding of accounting processes
- Ability to work individually and with team
Experience & skills desired:
- Experience with Sage 50
- Some accounting training
- Parttime preferred but fulltime roles considered 9am to 5pm
- Based in Bletchley, Milton Keynes
- Salary 2428k prorata
