We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estates & Facilities senior manager to join our Estates and Facilities Management leadership team (EFM).

EFM provide a range of professional and technical Estates and Facilities Management services for KMPT portfolio of accommodation across Kent.

Ensuring the Trust and its officers are professionally advised on matters of the estate and are supported in the discharge of their statutory obligations with regards to the estate.


The role of Head of EFM Management Services & Fire Safety provides professional leadership and governance for the Estates & Facilities Teams who contribute to the delivery of effective patient centred health care.

Accountable for ensuring performance, quality and governance systems are in place and maintained across Estates and Facilities management services. Lead on matters of Fire Safety and EFM EPRR service lead.

Supported by RICS and other estate and property professionals within the property team this role is

responsible for ensuring that the Trust's entire property portfolio is managed and used to best effect.


Ensure the Trust's land and property assets are appropriately managed in compliance with best practice (HBN 00-08 Estate Code) with regards to both tenure and utilisation, creating and maintaining safe, suitable and compliant environments for the provision of brilliant healthcare through brilliant people.

To ensure the delivery of EFM Management services meets the requirements of local and
national and local targets and directives and are compliant with statutory requirements
(Property & Premises Management, Fire Safety).

Ensure the provision of continuous and comprehensive risk assessments and audits to
monitor the performance of the estate, analyzing and reporting against national
benchmarking (ERIC, PAM).

Responsible for the management of the Property & Premises and Fire Safety budgets,

ensuring expenditure is within budget, income targets are achieved, and savings plans (Cost

Improvement Programmes) and developed and delivered.
