About The Role:

We are looking for a

Logistics Administrator to join our Logistics Hub at our facility in Peterborough. You do not need to have a logistics or fresh produce background as full training will be given, however we are looking for strong attention to detail, the ability to take the initiative and commercial awareness.

Working as part of our Logistics hub, you will be responsible for the logístical administration, importing, clearance and arrivals of produce from suppliers to our businesses in the UK.

An integral and administrative
- focused role working alongside Heads, Directors and Team members to keep them informed of necessary departmental, supplier and service provision of developments, needs and critical business information.

Daily duties include:

Liaise with company procurement teams, suppliers, and administrate all produce purchases onto company systems.
Liaising with our clearing agent, port agents to clear goods through HMRC customs and communicate issues with our seasonal supply base to resolve any clearance issues.
Monitor vessel departures and arrivals to maximise free port time and reduce stock holding at port and at depots.
Monitoring, and management of daily inbound transport, yard management, warehousing booking in systems. Communicating directly with hauliers, clearing agents, suppliers, ports.
Reduce freight costs by maximising load fills.
Organise all transport, freight from port to Packhouse/Direct Supply as required against current supply base requirements.
Invoice checking / general administration.
Administrate Market sales, RTS, Stock movements from company sites.
Claims and recharges process management.
Communication of any stock delays through delayed shipments, supplier load delays, delayed clearance, clearance issues that could impact on stock management, supply to customer base.
Management of Direct delivery bookings via customer systems.

About You:

You will have a strong administrative background; logistics experience is not essential as full training will be given but highly desirable, more importantly you will:

Be a good cultural fit against the company values
Have excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Have a commercial awareness
Work well under pressure and on own initiative
Enjoy working within a team
Have excellent planning and organisational skills
Be inquisitive and ambitious
You would be required to have a full driving licence as site is not on a public transport route
Experience in supply chain or logistics highly desirable but
not essential

; there is additional remuneration/overtime and half a day in lieu when working a weekend which can be done from home or office.
Working hours are: 40 hours working Monday - Friday hrs / or duty specific. (1 hr lunch)

About Us:

AMK/T is a newly created business owned by AM FRESH to manage the packing, warehousing and distribution of products to Tesco within the UK.

We have built a new state-of-the-art chilled food facility in Peterborough which is expected to employ around 500 people and around 350 agency staff a day operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with a 4o4o shift pattern.

We are proud to have supported Tesco with their Citrus, Grape and other fresh fruit and vegetable offering for a number of years and this new facility and partnership takes this relationship further as we look to expand our product range with Tesco for the next 10 years.
