The Role

As the Revenue Accountant you will assist the Financial Controller - Revenue with all aspects of revenue accounting and control.

This role will aid the timely and accurate preparation of the month end and year end revenues and associated Balance Sheet.

Thisrole will work closely with the FP&A team and other business stakeholders.

You will be an ambitious, well organised individual in the process of studying for your accounting qualification with strong accounting and analytical skills who is comfortable in the detail.

You will have a good comprehension of processes and controls.


What you'll be doing

You will support the period end recording and reporting of revenues in compliance with SHLs policies, relevant accounting standards and other applicable regulations in line with published timetable for all business units.

And prepare accurate and timely revenue balance sheet reconciliations in line with an agreed timetable

You will support a strong financial control environment with appropriate processes and compliance for all revenue streams as well as supporting the end-to-end revenue recognition process and ensure compliance with IFRS15, with guidance from the Financial Controller.


You will also be providing support to the group team in relevant aspects of the group and local audits to ensure timely audit completion and submission of financial statements and support the FP&A and Business Partner teams in understanding the revenueson a monthly basis and as required.


The experience we are looking for:

We are looking for a part-qualified accountant, previous revenue experience in a financial control team would be beneficial (study support available) as well as experience preparing revenue analysis reports and revenue balance sheet reconciliations.

You will be capable of multitasking while adhering to internal or external operational and financial deadlines, be comfortable with manipulating and analysing large amounts of data and have good business partnering skills to help key stakeholders, includingFP&A and FBPs understand month on month revenue recognition.

You will also be able to provide key evidence to support annual audit of revenues across all business units.

This role also requires strong knowledge in Excel and good analytical skills.
