What You Will Do:


  • Maintain and update data protection, security and privacy policy documents and procedures
  • Service deletion and Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs)
  • Keep abreast of emerging data protection legislation affecting the regions in which we provide service
  • Work closely with IT, Marketing, Finance, Safeguarding and HR to lead on projects ensuring compliance with GDPR and agreed data retention schedules across the business
  • Deliver (or oversee delivery of) GDPR training (in some cases bespoke to the business team) to all new starters, carry out adhoc training to branch staff around proper storage, retention, sharing and deletion of all data
  • Support with the review and drafting of data protection contractual terms; Contract assessments, DPIAs, DSAs, NDAs for new projects, third parties, tenders etc
  • Deal with Consent/Consent withdrawal forms
  • Maintain the RoPA
  • Ensure ICO registration
  • Respond to privacy related queries and providing accurate, appropriate, timely and pragmatic advice;
  • Support with the maintenance of the firm's ISO 27001 and other certifications;
  • Support with the onboarding of new technologies and / or vendors;
  • Maintain and update the firm's ICO registrations;
  • Gather information for, reviewing and drafting privacy notices.

About You:


  • In order to be considered, you should have the following:
  • IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM or CIPT or equivalent certification is desirable
  • A general understanding of technology and security issues impacting privacy projects and programs
  • A genuine interest and desire to work in the privacy field
  • Awareness of ongoing and recent developments across the privacy landscape
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality, strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamfocused with a passion for learning, excellence and continuous improvement
  • Strong problemsolving abilities, flexible, able to navigate transformational growth and ambiguity, show initiative and anticipate needs, and able to focus on multiple workstreams at once
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
