Our client is a leading multi service provider in the UK Facilities sector.
They are looking for an experienced HR Assistant or Administrator who is looking for the next step in
their career, to join our small and friendly HR team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for providing an operationally focused HR service by providing advice,
- Work with the HR Team to deliver the HR plan in line with the business strategy.
- Be proactive in resolving challenging situations whilst driving best fit and ensuring compliance with all company procedures, policies, and employment legislation.
- To work closely with Key stakeholders across the business and advise them on current legislation, help identify risk and offer solutions.
- Provide HR guidance, support and expertise to managers and employees in line with policy, practice, and legislation.
- Develop HR service desk system to ensure timely responses to HR calls and mailbox
- Continue to work closely with our Employment Law Partners
- Ensure HR matters are handled promptly, fairly, and consistently in line with legal and company requirements.
- Act as facilitator with managers with Employee Relations Cases e.g., grievance, disciplinary, absence and capability investigations and hearings developing their capabilities and skills around people management.
- Reduce the risk of Employment Tribunals by working closely with our indemnity insurers
- Providing timely and accurate management information on all aspects of HR as required.
- Assist with the development of key projects as identified by the business
- Comply with Data Protection and General Data Protections Regulations (GDPR) and ensure the security of employee information in accordance with legislation and best practice.
- Ensuring company policies and procedures are up to date in line with current legislation and are communicated across the business.
- Ability to motivate self and contribute to the development of an effective team.
- Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in HR Systems, and Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work in a demanding, fast paced, and pressurised environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to always maintain confidentiality and discretion.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Able to cope well under pressure.
- Able to work to tight timeframes.
- Strong communicator with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise and able to work to competing priorities and deadlines.
- CIPD Level 3 or equivalent experience, opportunity to further qualification
