Keen to challenge yourself by owning a large, key transformation project?

You will have the opportunity as a Senior Data Engineer to have input into the long term data strategy of the business and drive the data landscape.

There's a huge emphasis on new technologies and you will play a part in the future technical state of this business.


SALARY:
£70,000 - £85,000


LOCATION:
Toddington
- flexible hybrid working pattern.


PACKAGE:
up to 20% bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension contribution, private healthcare & more.

The below details what you will have exposure to when you join yet not all of these are needed to apply.


Required:

  • Strong onprem MS SQL Server experience
  • Very strong TSQL experience specifically in large batch process use cases
  • Experience working with large databases, transactional datasets, and data warehouses with batch data processing jobs
  • Understanding SQL executions plans and performance optimizing queries and batch jobs
  • Familiarity with XML and JSON data structures, as well as CSV file integration

Desirable:

  • Maintaining/administering onprem Production SQL Server instances e.g. backups, replication, DR mechanisms
  • Optimisation of cloudbased data warehouse to balance performance against running cost
