Description

BioWatt are operators of anaerobic digestion/biogas plants which produce green electricity and renewable gas using organic matter from crops, food waste and other agricultural sources.

A typical day as a BioWatt Site Operator will consist of:

Using a JCB telehandler to manage materials onsite and feed the hoppers
Completing daily/ weekly checks of the site, plant and equipment with the use of smartphones and tablets (provided by the company)
Ensuring all light maintenance is completed and recorded
Keeping the site tidy as you work and reporting any health and safety issues
Maintaining and recording supplies on site
Communicating with the Operations Team to share knowledge and help problem solving

This is a full-time position which also includes availability for evenings and weekends on call on a rota basis as part of a team with additional _call out and overtime payments_.

Initial contract term will be for 3 months.

The following skills and experience are preferred but not essential:

Experience of conducting daily checks and maintenance routines
Use of smartphone and apps

The following skills and experience are essential:

Telehandler driving experience and a valid competence certificate.

A full UK driving licence is required.

This is an entry level position with plenty of scope for advancement. Salary will rise on successful completion of training.

A company phone and GPS lone working device are provided.

A company vehicle is available for use when on call.

Full personal development, health & safety and technical training in the form of an individual training plan will be provided.

Initial interviews will be conducted as a walk round site basis outside (so please come in appropriate shoes/ clothing for the weather.)
