Your New Role
Our QHSE family is dedicated to developing, implementing, and maintaining an effective health, safety and environment management system that drives continuous improvement, safe systems of work and behavioural practices at all levels of the organisation.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Delivers audit assignments for nominated business or customer areas. Develops individual audit plans and detailed scope; delivers the fieldwork required to gather and report findings and opinions; agrees on corrective actions with auditees, and refers serious or contentious issues to the lead auditor
- Works within established global and Survitec QHSE framework, policy and processes established regulatory and governance systems and protocols, as well as external regulation and guidelines
- Investigates standard incidents using current and appropriate processes, systems and procedures, taking action to solve immediate compliance issues. Advises more senior colleagues on complex problems
- Carries out a range of complex activities to generate evidence to validate existing and new quality assurance test methods and procedures
- Carries out a range of quality management activities under the guidance of senior colleagues to contribute to the identification and evaluation of current policies and business processes that are in the scope of the Quality Management System. Works as part of a wider Aerospace and Defence Quality team to design, develop and document new procedures and business processes
- Resolves queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and related policies, referring to others where necessary for interpretation of policy
- Designs own monthly schedule and, if necessary, assigns work to others to speed up office workflow and ensure highpriority tasks get done
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria
- 3+ years experience in a senior HSE position
- People management experience, planning and managing resources to deliver functional objectives
- Great communicator
- Confident in delivering and reporting on critical business challenges to senior leadership
