The role


Orbit is delighted to announce that we are recruiting an additional Community Connector for the Thriving Communities team covering South Warwickshire and Rugby, based out of either our Stratford-upon-Avon or Coventry offices.

The role will enable us to engage with customers at a local level, ensuring we increase access to Orbit's Better Days support services.


This role is part of Customer & Communities where you'll help us to lead the way keeping our promise to more than 100,000 customers.


What you'll achieve

  • Plan and deliver an ongoing programme of community engagement and activity events
  • Support the Place Area Lead in developing and promoting daytoday activities at Community Hubs and providing a regular facetoface presence, building trust between local customers and Orbit
  • Take responsibility for the marketing and customer communications for local engagement activities
  • Collating data and impact of community events and activities for reports and providing feedback
  • Providing Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) to Orbit customers and making customer referrals into Better Days support services

What you'll bring

Essential skills

  • Comfortable speaking in public in front of a wide range of audiences and extensive experience within a customer facing role
  • The ability to deal professionally and confidently with challenging conversations and behaviours
  • Must have a car for business use and be willing and able to travel
  • Experience of collating monitoring and reporting data and customer feedback
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise and manage own workload
