About the role.


An Opportunity has arisen in the Housing Solutions Team for the role of Housing Solutions Team Leader on a permanent contract.

This post is an integral part of the Housing Solutions Service, supporting the day-to-day operations and the future development of homelessness and support services in Gateshead.


Reporting to the Housing Solutions Manager you will oversee the day-to-day management and supervision of the Housing Solutions teams to deliver homelessness prevention, homelessness advice, and temporary accommodation services in Gateshead.


Working alongside the Housing Solutions management team, this role will play a key part in leading, supporting, delivering and implementing our ambitious service plan which will support the transformation of homelessness services in Gateshead.

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with a passion and commitment to support homeless households.

You will have a wealth of experience in assisting customers in a wide range of situations, a strong commitment to excellent customer care, equality, diversity and inclusion.

You will be an excellent communicator both verbally, in writing and be able to present confidently to groups of customers.


Your interpersonal skills will be key, being an effective communicator to lead, manage and support your team, build and maintain key partnerships and deal with the public, including dealing with potentially difficult situations.

It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
