As a Digital Strategy Leader in our Aerospace, Defence, Security and Technology (ADS&T) business you'll be leading multidisciplinary Atkins teams delivering to clients across the Aerospace, Defence, Critical National Infrastructure and Security sectors.

The role in Digital Advantage will involve:

  • Being an industry expert in your discipline, driving the strategic direction of our markets and influencing at C-suite level by seeing problems through the same len.
  • Spearheading multidisciplinary team of consultants, business analysts and enterprise architects to shape and deliver digital strategies to our clients, providing accountability for delivery quality.
  • A team player recognising and nurturing the value and skills of those around you and bringing integrity to all that you do.
  • Supervising and assuring horizonscanning studies to stay abreast of emerging technology trends (e.g. Digital Twin, AI/ML, cloud computing, electrification, hydrogen, autonomy).
  • Supervising and assuring comprehensive due diligence assessments to assess technical and organisational maturity covering existing strategies, architecture and ecosystem partnerships.
  • Growing strong relationships with academia and startups to scout lowTRL innovations with disruptive potential.
  • Pioneering efforts to understand and define complex business problems to executives and providing a roadmap for improvement.
  • Collaborating with our market directors to identify new opportunities and/or services and directing them into new markets with intimate client knowledge and networks.
  • Supervising complex programmes and projects to deliver high quality value driven outcomes for our clients.
  • Championing our stakeholders' needs, ensuring development is aligned with their requirements and business goals to build long term collaborative relationships.
  • Planning and facilitating workshops to understand client needs, extract expert insights, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ensuring that the advice we give our customers reflects our standard for inclusion, diversity, equality, and sustainability and delivers social value as well as specific programme outcomes.

What you can bring?

  • An influential thought chief recognised in one of our key markets: Aerospace, Defence, Security and Critical National Infrastructure (Aviation, Rail, Highways, Energy).
  • Business acumen proven through extensive experience (10+ years) and/or further education (e.g. MBA).
  • Chartership in a relevant discipline (e.g. CEng, ChPP, CMI, IoD) setting the professional standard and professionalism for junior colleagues to aspire to.
  • Experience engaging at Csuite level in technologyled transformation programmes, across strategy, business design and change management.
  • Passion for emerging technology, sustainability and innovation combined with proven greatest skills.
  • Experience supervising complex programmes, designing innovative solutions, and communicating them effectively to a wide range of audiences and/or a track record for winning work on major programmes.
