We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacy assistant x 2 who would like to expand their skills within the medicines supply team working at Guy's and St Thomas' DispensariesMain responsibilities will involve:
Inventory management including receipt of medicine deliveries
Dispensing and supply of medicines for inpatient and discharge
Supervision of pharmacy assistants
JAC pharmacy systems skills
Supervisory skills
Ability be self directed and work independently
Ability to work accurately to precise timescales and deadlines

To be responsible for pharmacy support duties for stock control, labelling, assembly, dispensing and receipt and distribution of pharmaceuticals and clinical services at ward level.
The Pharmacy and Medicines Management Directorate is responsible for £110m, 365 WTE and leads a number of quality and safety improvements as well as very successful medicines optimisation initiative through our Trust wide Fit for the Future programme.
The Directorate is critical to education, research and delivering world class clinical care across the full spectrum of pharmacy and medicine management services.
The directorate encompasses acute, children's and community clinical services.In addition it has responsibility for procurement, logistics, classical manufacturing and the safe and effective use of medicine whilst tailoring their use to the needs of individual patients.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacy assistant who would like to expand their skills within the medicines supply team working at Guy's hospital.
Main responsibilities will involve:
- Inventory management
- Ward based duties to ensure timely delivery of medicines to patients
- Dispensing and supply of medicines for inpatient and discharge
- Supervision of pharmacy assistants.
- Working closely with dialysis units.
- Recosting to help with finance reports.
- Safe and secure handling of medicines.
