Description
Pharmacy Assistant - Band - based at the Pharmacy Department, Ysbyty Gwynedd (bank contract)Up to 37.5 hours per week.
A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic and positive person to join the pharmacy team at Ysbyty Gwynedd as a pharmacy assistant.
Previous experience of working within a store keeping environment, along with customer service experience, dealing with patients and public, would be advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties will include:
- Receiving deliveries
- Supply of medication to wards / departments
- Scanning / filing prescriptions
- Reception
- General housekeeping
Provide pharmacy support services including:
Supply of medicines, wound care products, diagnostic reagents, and disinfectants held as stock on wards and in departments of the Health Board.
Dispensary receptionist and support duties.
Over labelling of manufacturers' original packs in batches according to Standard Operating Procedures ( SOP ).
To comply with Code of Conduct and work within BCUHB's identified policies, protocols and guidelines and comply with the security requirements at all times.
Work in partnership with patients, other health and social care colleagues and services internal and external to BCUHB, as appropriate, to achieve the optimum health outcome for service users.
To undertake a range of clerical and administrative tasks which contribute to the smooth running and efficiency of the Healthcare Services.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
