The Role:

Our site in Huntingdon is currently recruiting for a Supervisor to join the Logistics and Sample Management team.

The Supervisor is accountable for developing, monitoring, and reporting of metrics for the shipping/logistics and sample management function. Additionally you will maintain relationships with Supplier, Couriers, Government Agencies, and all international stakeholders.

Essential Job Duties:

Managing, scheduling and coordinating proactively and in conjunction with other groups or departments the daily activities of the group and liaising with other groups, sections and departments as appropriate.
Assuring appropriate communication within the group, particularly for dissemination of information
Understanding and interpreting study plans and identifying problems resulting from the study plan or during study conduct and taking appropriate action.
Planning, organizing and participating in meetings
Ensuring maintenance of instruments and equipment is performed (i.e. maintenance, validation and calibration)
Providing support, training and guidance for less experienced staff.

Experience:

Extensive logistics and shipping experience
Prior line management or training experience preferred
Computing skills, including word processing and use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Office packages and Microsoft Project
