We have an opportunity for a
Service Supervisor to join us at our
Specialist Hire Division based in our
Birmingham Depot.


As one of our Service supervisors, you will have full workshop responsibility, the delivery of all service-related objectives including scheduling, and maximising the effective use of systems, assets and personnel to achieve or exceed budgeted cost control, service, productivity and plant availability targets.


As one of our Service Supervisors, you will;

  • Direct the daytoday activities of all engineers to maximise their productivity and minimise equipment downtime.
  • Ensure that all plant in the Workshop is promptly checked, tested and serviced/maintained by a suitably qualified and/or experienced engineer in accordance with the company's workshop procedures.
  • Ensure that all plant is stored in a clean and presentable condition and that any Company logos, plant numbers, instruction, and warning labels and PDI tags are legible.
  • Carry out onetoone performance appraisals, in accordance with HR guidelines, ensuring that engineers are provided with relevant development objectives and training opportunities to enhance their competence and expand their skills.
  • Have the skills and experience in directly supervising or managing a team in a workshop/ production environment, including remote workers in the field.
  • Have Good working Knowledge of workshop or production practices and processes.
  • Ideally hold a qualification in one or more of the following disciplines: Mechanical Engineering, Electrics, HVAC, Production/manufacture Processes.

Experience:


  • Supervising boiler engineer: 2 years (required)

Licence/Certification:
