Senior Assistant Technical Officer Band 3

Permanent - 1 post 37.5 hours per week (1 WTE)

Are you a Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer with an NVQ level 2 in pharmacy services and looking for a new challenge?

Are you enthusiastic, highly motivated with excellent communication skills and looking for support to build on your existing skills and develop new ones?


Due to the expansion of our service there is an opportunity to come and join our team and work as part of the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust Secure Care Services (SCS) in the post of Senior Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer.

We have funding available for one full time 37.5 hour permanent position, which can be used in any combination of full-time, part-time and job-share working.


The Secure Care Services have a well-developed and highly respected pharmacy service, with input to all service clinical teams and wards.

We are a small but friendly and highly driven team striving to provide the best possible pharmaceutical care for our service users.


Our pharmacy team covers four sites across Birmingham, totalling almost 250 inpatient beds, which comprise of men's secure, women's secure and child & adolescent secure services in addition to an expanding community service therefore flexibility in approach and travel will be required to support the needs of the service.


You will be part of a team of technical staff to deliver technical pharmacy services in the SCS directorate utilising the EPMA system to ensure the provision of a safe, efficient and cost-effective pharmaceutical service.
