Full Stack Developer | PHP | JavaScript |MySQL | VOIP | AWS | AI | Python | Apache | £70,000 - £90,000 | Remote UK or Europe - 10% travel to London
Wedo has partnered with a small business who have a large footprint in the unified communication space.

Our client builds software for communication compliance which is used by 61 banks across UK, US, and EMEA, and is now looking for a Senior Full StackDeveloper to join their team of 6.

This is a remote role with a less than 10% expectation to meet in person across the year.


This role will help maintain and evolve their Webservice API platform that powers a call and SMS recording archive portal.

The platform was built using PHP and interacts with an AWS Aurora backend database that appears as MySQL to the PHP layer.

While thecode base is simple and well-structured, it was built from scratch using procedural PHP (with some external libraries used in an OOP context).


The ideal Developer will have the following background:

  • Extensive experience in PHP and MySQL, as well as strong knowledge of Linux.
  • Familiarity with Apache SOLR would be extremely beneficial for improving the search capability of our archive.
  • You should be comfortable with JS, HTML, and CSS as you may need to assist in the maintenance of the platform, bug fixes, or handling customer issues.
  • Able to integrate new technologies such as Apache SOLR for improved search capabilities and AI for speech recognition
  • Experience working with architecture in a Container model where instances of components can be easily deployed in Docker or managed by Kubernetes.

Desired:


  • Familiarity with Python and AI technologies could be very useful, as they're looking to integrate these into our platform.
  • Knowledge of VoIP would make you stand out from the crowd.
  • Experience working in the Telecommunication industry and or startups.

Interview process:


  • 1st stage 1 hour Zoom interview with COO and CEO
  • 2ND stage F2F (in person) meeting in London with team
