Walker and Sloan are proud to be working with a well known marketing agency that provides creative and digital services as well as technology, procurement, and logistics solutions to its clients.
Job Purpose
- To lead/work on client engagements for agencies Data + Insights, specifically helping to develop our client's knowledge and understanding of available data and providing best practice advice to help meet their marketing challenges.
- To provide support to account team to help identify and convert revenue generating opportunities in existing clients.
- Provide consultancy to clients on customer data initiatives that could help add value to their business and help to develop Data + Insights' solution to meet client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure any outputs such as analysis, technology solution or marketing strategy satisfy the business requirements.
- Proactively work with account team to identify and develop opportunities within clients for additional revenue.
- Develop data strategies and consumer journeys in order to support communication activities.
- Provide support to internal account teams on how to plan effective data and CRM strategies to support our client's business plans.
- Improve company efficiency by identifying repetitive work that can either be simplified and carried out by others or automated to speed up production.
- Write comprehensive briefs to reflect client requirements.
- Meet with internal teams to discuss brief and requirements.
- Work with client teams in creation of all related project plans and schedules.
- Identify projects' potential issues for client or third parties and propose solution options for agreement with internal teams, senior management (where necessary) and client.
- Work with technical team to identify where errors have occurred and how these can be solved and avoided in future.
- Provide accurate work assessments to deliver on time to maximise revenue opportunities.
- Select the most appropriate data advice to support the client's business objectives
- Support with commercial negotiations with clients and 3rd party suppliers.
- Cost and plan deliverables.
Key Skills, knowledge and competencies
Communicating - able to work with non-data literate or data literate people at any level to show how data and our services can support customer engagement strategies.
- Able to read an audience, balancing delivery between the macro and micro picture, happy to go into the detail but equally comfortable providing a "helicopter" view to get the key points across and generate consensus among a senior audience.
- Presenting in an articulate and engaging way able to take ideas and make them come alive in presentations using software and visual aids.
- Working in partnership with both analysts, technology and marketing enablement teams.
- Understanding and explaining how multi channel data drives Engagement Marketing and Digital Transformation across Media and CRM.
- A data expert with a passion for being customer driven.
- Able to sell and influence clients and internal stakeholders using different techniques and approaches.
- Able to build strong relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
- Have a general understanding of relational databases and single customer view creation.
- Have a detailed knowledge of the range of data sources available in the marketplace and how they can be applied to develop insight, campaign planning and reporting.
- Understand how digital, Social and offline data can be integrated into CRM Programs.
- Proactive, resourceful,capable of multitasking and problem solving under pressure.
- Have a sound industry knowledge, keeping abreast of developments that may impact our clients.
Experience
- Minimum of 23 years' Planning / Data Planning experience.
- Sound experience of working with high profile clients (ideally both B2B and B2C across several industry sectors) at a senior level.
- Considerable and recent experience of leading large scale multichannel marketing campaign/ technology/ data management/ BI projects within the Data Marketing Industry.
- Practical and hands on experience of planning and analysing multichannel marketing activity.
Education and Training
Numeric degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline e.g. Business Studies, Marketing, Psychology, Social Sciences. Masters Level would be advantageous.
