ABPM has been retained by an entrepreneurial family-owned profitable SME manufacturer to recruit into this newly created role.

A true example of British manufacturing success and innovation, the opportunity represents an exciting broad-based role for an experienced and qualified finance leader.

In summary, reporting to the MD & Chair you will be part of the senior management team responsible for the prudent financial management stewardship and business systems.

You need to be a hands-on finance professional who can utilise your strong work ethic and leadership skills to support the opportunities for ongoing profitable growth with strategic and operational insight.

An appointment that will encompass accurate and relevant financial reporting and encourage a major contribution to the operational activities on the back of sound and reliable management information generated by the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Leading a small team of a capable bookkeeper.
Produce financial accounting and management accounting information including responsibility for credit control and purchase ledger payments.
Production and analysis with commentaries of monthly management accounting information.
Provide high quality support service to the Board and other stakeholders e.g. funders, credit insurers, bank, auditors & the pension scheme trustees.
Effective management of cash flow, FX, working capital, stock and purchasing
Annual budgeting, financial statements and tax.
Compliance with the statutory fiscal reporting requirements.
Identifying financial risk to the business and developing appropriate plans and systems to mitigate the risk e.g. FX movements, market impact events.
Actively participate in the development and execution of the overall business strategy.
Inventory management, product costing and understanding of BOMs.
Assistance with Implementation of SAGE 200 Professional
Ensure all financial, IT and compliance processes are understood and followed, mitigating risks as required.
