Accounts Payable Specialist/Accounts Assistant - Royalties


An exciting music company have a pivotal role in their Finance function, responsible for royalty accounts payable, client statement generation, reconciliation of royalty statements to sub-systems and ensuring payments are made in line with contract.


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the royalty accounts payable function of one of the UK business areas.
  • Reconciliation of statements to balances in the finance system and royalty processing systems.
  • Calculation and recording of royalty client VAT and WHT amounts where applicable.
  • Preparation of payment runs in line with contractual payment terms
  • Reconciliation of royalty client advance balances.
  • Preparation of VAT and tax withheld calculations and posting of relevant journals to AP ledger.
  • Create and maintain client payment details in finance system
  • Review and maintain standing client data.
  • Management of royalty statements visible in the online statement portal
  • Assisting the royalties team with with royalty client queries
  • Ad hoc duties within the finance function
  • Opportunity for growth and expansion as the company continues to grow

Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years accounts payable experience
  • Ability to reconcile between finance systems and subsystems
  • Experience of working with multicurrency payments and bank accounts
  • A focus on accuracy and ability to followup to ensure issues are resolved.
