Devise and perform Training Needs Analyses as appropriate.

Develop lesson plans, eLearning materials and training syllabuses for training sessions Assist in the preparation and management of all learning resources, facilities and materials for all digital skills and training.

Carry out training on all Trust systems. Carry out ongoing refresher and update training as required.

Use complex equipment, e.g. the Training Database or Digital Learning Solution, to produce complex reports on staff training.

Train staff utilising advance computer skills proven through the acquisition of qualifications such as ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) or its replacement (NHS Elite), or CLAIT (Computer Literacy and Information Technology).

Identify additional investment requirements in training materials, venues, personnel or other resources such as additional PCs, laptops, and provide reports to that effect to the Training Team Manager or Training Manager.

Cope with an unpredictable and fluctuating workload.

For example, when a new development is due to be rolled out, large groups of staff will need to be trained in a short timescale; at other times, training numbers may be smaller and need to be managed on a 1-1 and/or ad hoc basis.

Adapt training style and materials according to the group dynamic.

This will involve being able to identify and analyse a wide ranging level of abilities, from non-PC users to near-expert users, and adapt the training accordingly and appropriately.

Provide appropriate informal and additional formal support to any staff member experiencing difficulty to successfully complete their training. This may necessitate the development and agreement of learning contracts with individuals.

Cope with difficult situations in the training environment, dealing with complex questions and problems relating to the training aims, materials and IT equipment being used.

Referral to a senior member of the team may be required.

Ensure that all training delivered adheres to and promotes staff legal and ethical responsibilities i.e.

Data Protection Act, Health & Safety, Freedom of Information, Clinical guidelines relating to use of computers (MRSA), Care Records Guarantee and local policies (including System Access and Security, Use of Smartcards) Ensure that other learning tools and aids are produced and/or provided as appropriate e.g.
