We are working with a research consultancy who are leaders in Social Research.

They work with Governments and Public Services to help shape the delivery of policy-making through research and evaluation.
They are looking for an Associate Consultant (Senior Research Executive equivalent) to join their Policy and Evaluation unit.

Within this team, you will work with public institutions to help them design and set public policy priorities, assess the effectiveness and impact of programmes and overall, improve the delivery of public services.

Within the role, you will work across a range of social policy areas. For example, looking into Domestic Abuse, Youth Violence, Education and assessing Societal Benefits of high-profile government initiatives and policies.


It's a great opportunity to work across high profile projects within the UK Government, receive industry-leading training, have access to a huge amount of available data and tools as well as work with experts in the area.


They are looking for someone with Evaluation research experience as well as quantitative research skills or mixed method research skills (primary research).

This is a full-service role, where you will:

  • Support the delivery of evaluation projects from design, to data collection, analysis and develop conclusions and recommendations
  • Expand your methodological knowledge across complex quantitative and qualitative research
  • Work directly with clients and project partners
  • Develop your presentation skills and also help supporting the development of research proposals

Ideally, you will have:


  • A strong interest in one or more areas of public policy and a desire to build a career in policy evaluation and consulting
  • A strong academic background in economics, social sciences, or a related area.
  • Knowledge of quantitative and/or qualitative approaches to evaluation problems.
  • Any knowledge of statistical or econometric methods for conducting impact evaluations using quasiexperimental designs and/or RCT is desirable.
