Description

Our People Strategy sets out our vision for retaining, developing, inspiring and attracting people, underpinned by our newly developed Trust values it takes a holistic approach to infuse all elements of colleague experience to support the creation of an environment where people thrive.

Key to the delivery of this strategy is our People Partner role, linked directly to one of our six clinical services groups the People Partner is fundamental in the development of workforce strategy, planning and development.

Our People Business Partner Team seamlessly links People Services knowledge, support and guidance with operational leaders to ensure colleagues come first to deliver the best care for the people of Somerset.

We are looking for a creative and inspiring leader, someone who can innovate, challenge the status quo and look to continuously improve.

Someone who is credible in the role because of their experience in turning people strategies into reality.

The role will be rewarding, challenging, fun and will encourage you to be courageous. It will offer the opportunity to influence and shape the future for our colleagues.

I am looking for someone who has experience of working as a People Partner, someone who understands and can support delivery of longer term workforce planning, someone with a track record of supporting change in complex organisations.

Someone who wants to translate vision into reality and celebrate success while delivering our people strategy and therefore ultimately the NHS People Plan and People Promise.

In return I can offer a flexible approach to work, time and space to be creative, opportunities to develop and grow, amazing people to work with, a supportive manager and a great place to work.

If you believe you have what it takes to support my vision and take this role forward I would love to hear from you.

I welcome the opportunity to chat informally about the role and to discuss flexible working opportunities.

As an organisation, the NHS offers a wide range of benefits including flexible working, pension contributions, market leading annual leave allowance, continuing professional development and regular informal conversations around career progression, annual recognition awards to celebrate and recognise our colleagues achievements throughout the year and not to mention our Blue Light Card and NHS exclusive discounts.

We work hard to make sure that inclusion is part of everything we do.

We know that true inclusion means we're able to provide the best care for our patients and provide a fulfilling career for all our colleagues.

We have six active and impactful colleague networks.

These networks provide a safe space for colleagues to share their experiences and learn from one another, but also influence change across our trust:

  • Multicultural Network
  • Women's Network
  • Armed Forces' Network
  • LGBTQ+ Network
  • Lived Experience Network, for colleagues living with disabilities
  • Autistic Colleague Network
