The Engineering Sr Group Manager is a senior management level position responsible for accomplishing results through the management of a team or department in an effort to drive a variety of engineering activities including the design, acquisition anddeployment of hardware, software and network infrastructure in coordination with the Technology team.

The overall objective of this role is to lead efforts to ensure quality standards are being met within existing and planned framework.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide conceptual analyses for a variety of broad and complex issues
  • Manage all products from design to implementation and ongoing performance according to business need
  • Ensure all technology standards are developed, understood and adhered to operationally around the globe
  • Ensure that Citi makes appropriate strategic choices in onboarding, managing and exiting of vendors from the product portfolio
  • Manage a department of multiple teams from various technology disciplines, overseeing planning, performance management/counseling, pay decisions and other personnel actions
  • Provides an environment where Subject Matter Experts can prosper and deliver effectively
  • Oversee the technology budget and manage the budget and forecasts to ensure relevant targets are met
  • Utilize indepth knowledge of how technology integrates within Citi and of direct competitors products and services
  • Make evaluative judgments based on analyzing information in complicated or unique situations, utilizing multiple sources of information
  • Negotiate with senior leaders across functions, and with external parties, as required

Qualifications:


  • 15+ years of relevant experience in an Engineering role with extensive experience in business, functional and people management.
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Project Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
  • Comprehensive knowledge of design metrics, analytics tools, benchmarking activities and related reporting to identify best practices
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred

This is a senior manager role which also requires significant technical expertise in understanding crypto technical concepts, as well as designing, operating and maintaining IT Security infrastructure.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and communicate a riskbased and datadriven engineering roadmap strategy for Citi's crypto products and capabilities, in partnership with Architecture, Operations, Information Security Officers, and internal businesses and stakeholders.
  • Participates in formulating strategic direction for the organization covering cryptographic keys, certificates, HSMs, protocols, and algorithms.
  • Maintain responsibility for projectrelated audits and controls
  • Drive improvements within the department and area of responsibility, constantly reviewing engineering and design processes
  • Act to resolve issues which prevent effective team working, even during times of change and uncertainty. Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes for all parties
  • Leverage technical crypto knowledge to define and implement security policies and standards, and design best practices
  • Provide oversight of technical processes, roadmap and delivery decisions for cryptographic system and control designs, and implementations,
  • Present to various senior stakeholders and collaboration forums at a regular interval
  • Manage multiple teams, including the people, budget, contribute to policy formation, and strategy planning

Qualifications:


  • Strong experience in providing data protection and/or cryptographic advisory/design input
  • 5+ years of professional experience within data security including encryption, digital certificate lifecycle management, PKI implementation, access control, cryptographic key management, cloud key management systems
  • Experience in the following domains: information security, risk management, agile development, data protection, process improvements using a structured methodology to successfully plan, manage, monitor, and report
  • Familiar with common industry standards on PKI and cryptographic (NIST, PCI etc)
  • Experience setting up cloudbased cryptographic services (PKI, certificates, HSM, keys, automation, etc)
  • Proven record of Management experience working in a complex matrixed organization including people leadership, and managing teams of 20 or more engineers In depth knowledge of encryption use cases and handson experience estab
