The role:


Work alongside the HR Officer to ensure the efficient running of the HR administration process, to deliver high quality service for staff and managers.

Processing documentation for payroll, including starters and leavers, ensuring the HR database is accurately updated and related HR records and files are kept up to date accordingly.

Ensuring all information on the HR database and Excel spreadsheets is accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Process new starter documentation for payroll, ensuring information is accurate and relevant checks have been completed.
  • Administration of leavers, calculating annual leave entitlements, instructing payroll and informing IT.
  • Collate and process hourly paid timesheets and overtime claims to agreed monthly payroll deadlines, ensuring high accuracy.
  • Collate, process and review monthly parttime lecturing payments to agreed payroll deadlines, ensuring audit trails are maintained.

About you:


  • Level 3 qualification or equivalent in relevant area i.e. Business Administration
  • Level 2 (Grade A-C) or equivalent Maths and English qualification
  • Previous experience of using Excel including formulas and pivot tables
  • Experience of handling large volumes of data
