Here is an exciting opportunity for you We are seeking to recruit 1 (full-time) or more (part-time) speech and language therapy support workers to work within our stroke and acute ward service.


A speech and language therapy support worker helps in the general running of the department, with the administration and maintenance of equipment and resources, but primarily provides direct support to our patients with their therapy tasks and exercises, in both our acute Stroke Unit at Basildon Hospital and to patients on our general wards.

Part of the role will be the administration of the new Voice Therapy pathway

We need someone who has the following:

  • Experience working with clients with communication impairments
- a friendly and calm personality
- good written and verbal language skills
- good interpersonal skills
- ability to work flexibly with an ever changing caseload/workload demands
