Sunday 21 May 2023- Salary: £34,60- Contract type: Permanent / Working hours: Full time- Location: Callow Rock, Shipham Gorge, Cheddar- With opportunities for hybrid working- As the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), sixth assessment report laid out in March 2023, We are now on the brink of irrevocable damage from climate change; this is our 'final warning' and the time is now for action to address this crisis, restoring nature is one of the key actions needed.

  • We are looking for a Nature Based Solutions Specialist who through knowledge and expertise will be our organisational specialist in naturebased solutions and help enable SWT to deliver our visionAs Nature based Solutions specialist you will play a key role in enabling Somerset Wildlife Trust (SWT) to deliver its vision to reverse biodiversity loss and tackle the climate crisis.


You will be providing up to date technical guidance and advice to teams and through internal and networking partnerships identifying opportunities for our teams to deliver NBS delivery projects across the county.

This is a Senior Specialist role reporting to the Head of Nature Recovery.

To be successful in this role you will be motivated by the bigger picture, using innovative ways to utilise natural processes in combating the challenges of climate change.


You will be the go-to expert in the organisation, leading on the development of our policies and procedures around NBS and providing expertise and guidance to all staff, trustees and volunteers to deliver this crucial work across the county.
