Description

To support the work of the Subject Access Team in meeting the stringent time scales as set out in the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) & the Access to Health Records Act 1990, on producing copy records for personal and medical-legal purposes.

Supply copy records for other hospital providers as per GDPR and Access to Health guidelines.

Follow standard operating procedures as mandated by Subject Access Management for these requests.

Ensure a complete audit trail is maintained by updating Ulysses Database on all Hospital & Subject Access requests.


Attend training on the GDPR and Access to Health Records Acts, to update skills as these evolve and change, as required.

Maintain the health record as per instructions of the Health Records Policy.


Comply with the requirements of the GDPR, Access to Health Records Act and legislation issues in relation to confidential data.

Prioritise workload daily to ensure time scales are met.

Pull records from main library as necessary.

Photocopy/scan patient records following guidelines.

Processing patient records for posting following Policy guidelines.
