Hours of work

Minimum 30 hour per week, mostly day shifts although some evening and weekends will be required.

The Role:

Supporting the Chef in the Estate kitchen.
Working to standardised recipes and procedures.
Ensure food is appropriately managed with regard to checking deliveries on arrival for quantity, quality and use by date.
Ensuring food is appropriately stored and stock rotation carried out.
Packing and labelling of products.
Maintain high standard of kitchen hygiene and stores.
Assist in the keeping and maintaining of all food hygiene and cleaning records.
Maintain and clean kitchen and food preparation area.
To compile with health and safety regulations.
Participate in periodical deep cleaning tasks.
Attending local markets and events.
Manual handling.
Ensure excellent standards of cleanliness as all times.

Essential skills:

Experience in a catering/food handling role.
Desirable skills:
Previous experience of working in a food handling/catering environment.
Food hygiene certificate Level
Thrives in a busy environment and is unfazed by the variety of the role.
Methodical, organised with excellent attention to detail.
Flexible and enthusiastic approach to work.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Training will be provided.
