The starting salary for this role is £26,080 per annum based on a 36 hour working week.

We have 1 Fixed Term vacancy that will end in November 2023.

About Us


The Children, Families and Learning Business Support division within Surrey County Council provides a range of specialist services to children and young people alongside key local stakeholders such as parents/carers, schools, health services, police and voluntary organisations.


About the Role


Your primary focus as a Child Protection Administrator, will be to provide and maintain clear, concise and timely records at various Child Protection conferences and other highly confidential meetings across Surrey, within the clear deadlines or processes timelines set by the Surrey Safeguarding Board.


You will prepare for meetings by reading background information to accurately interpret events, whilst sending follow up correspondence and collating all contributions for the conference outcome report.


Additionally, you will take on a range of administrative tasks, using your knowledge of general office routines and procedures, whilst displaying a broad understanding of the department and how tasks directly support the service/ teams.


About You
In order to be considered for shortlisting, we would love to hear about;

  • Your Excellent administrative/ organisational skills including experience in minute taking directly onto a laptop
  • Competency within Microsoft Office Packages (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
  • Ability to work with others to improve customer service
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Able to prioritise and plan own workload by using initiative
  • A methodical approach to information gathering, recording and reporting
