Fox Morris Group are currently working to recruit a
Youth Support Worker to connect, inspire and motivate young people aged and up to 24 working young people with SEND
. This is a
full-time role, on a
6 month+ contract.
This is an in-person direct delivery role, working with young people in Youth settings across Tower Hamlets and involves evening and some weekend working
Rate:
£18.80-£22.00+ per hour (negotiable dependant on experience)
Hours:35 per week
- 2 years' experience of working with young people,
- Level 2/3 NVQ JNC recognised Youth Support Worker qualification and/or professional qualification in Sports/Teaching/Youth Justice.
Role responsibilities
- To take a supporting youth work practice delivery role in driving forward LBTH commitment to achieving excellent outcomes for children and young people as part of the new Youth Service, 'Young Tower Hamlets',
- To engage with young people through their voluntary participation, building positive relationships in open access youth work settings, in groups and in individual one to one work,
- Coach sports, introduce young people to music production, support entrepreneurial potential, teach photography or filmmaking skills, and have a cando attitude to deliver a modern, creative 21st youth work offer,
- Help young people to access education, training, and employment opportunities,
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring that safeguarding policies are followed.
