We have high ambitions for growth in wind, solar, grid services and hydrogen in the UK and looking for an experienced Land Procurement Officer to join an established Land Team.
Your role:
As a Land Procurement Officer, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Manage, negotiate, and agree land rights for onshore wind, solar, grid services and hydrogen projects, from early-stage development working across the portfolio;
- Assist with site finding and landowner engagement;
- Manage external consultants/ contractors and land agents (in conjunction with the Statkraft legal and procurement teams);
- Ensure internal approvals are obtained for all land documents;
- Maintain industry knowledge on relevant wider issues by various means, including event attendance, consultation responses and industry representation; and
- Partake in regular UK and some international travel.
Qualifications:
- University degree within a relevant field preferably relating to land or surveying, and ideally a member of RICS
- Experience in a relevant role, with good industry knowledge of renewable energy projects, commercials valuations, land rights and land documents
- Organised, practical, selfstarter with the ability to cope with multiple projects, competing demands and deliver high quality results on time
- Strong collaboration, influencing and relationshipbuilding skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and high level of attentiontodetail
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- Confident, personable and keen to work in a dynamic team environment
