Reporting directly to the MD and working closely with theFounders. The position sits as part of the senior management team, working to drive business performance, profitability and growth for the future


Role:

  • Overseeing the finance team of 5 staff including training, development and progression
  • Managing various internal and external stakeholders
  • Leading on key strategic projects from a finance point of view
  • Producing and delivering insightful monthend variance analysis, commentary and accounts
  • Balance sheet control and leading on all statutory reporting requirements
  • Managing the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process, delivering to the board
  • Multicurrency cashflow forecasting and budgeting, management of FX hedging strategy
  • International Tax & VAT compliance work to support key sales channels
  • Challenging current ways of working to develop and improve processes & controls
  • Overseeing monthly cost meetings and adhoc projects with budget holders
  • Key contact for external stakeholders including auditors and banks
  • Working with MD and owners on adhoc projects to support business growth & direction

Experience:


  • ACA/CIMA/ACCA qualified
  • All rounded finance experience gained within an SME environment, commercial mindset essential
  • Exposure on an SLT/to owners with strong experience managing relationships with banks/auditors essential
  • Experience working within a Retail/Ecom/stock holding business is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership skills and stakeholder management exposure with the ability to influence
  • FX exposure desirable
  • Strong Excel exposure, Navision experience beneficial but not essential
