As an ITIL Service Management professional looking for a newly created role, you will evolve and deliver a first class Workday & ITrent Support model working closely with the business and 3rd party suppliers.

This is your opportunity to build a shared understanding of what is needed to achieve excellence and evolve key external supplier and senior internal stakeholder relationships.

Purpose


You will be accountable for the provision of a first class system support and enhancement function for our HR and Finance corporate platforms (currently Workday and i-Trent with an increasing footprint as we centralise our corporate platforms).

This involves owning, engaging and actively managing key 3rd party partner relationships to ensure you and your team can deliver a cost-effective and optimised focus on the use of technologies including future growth.


You will manage an experienced Delivery Lead within the Enterprise Technology area., whilst reporting into the Head of Enterprise Applications, who in turn reports into the Director of Enterprise Technology.


As our hands-on technical resource and expertise is provided by external 3rd parties, active management of our partner relationships and their performance outcomes is critical for success.

You will be the key interface to Key internal stakeholders, understanding the strategic and day-to-day needs of the organisation and translating them into agreed service expectations for operational use and change delivery.

You will be confident in being the owner of major escalations, challenging conversations and continuous improvement initiatives both internally and externally to ensure positive outcomes.


What you will do

  • Proactively work with key external suppliers of our specialist IT platforms, influencing and creating strong relationships whilst maintaining overall accountability.
  • Utilise internal and external Management Information (MI) to ensure consistent first class systems support delivery and monitoring of all key metrics and KPIs.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are delivered through effective and customerfocused IT services.
  • Model leadership behaviours with confidence and get the very best from direct reports and matrix teams by providing clarity, feedback, coaching and development, while continuously seeking to enhance performance in line with business objectives.
  • Ensure regular user access reviews are carried out to validate the access/roles of all business and support staff are still appropriate.
  • Work closely with Delivery Lead to ensure effective risk management, service escalation and ticketing is inline with KPIs, whilst setting ambitious targets and managing performance effectively.

What you need to succeed

  • A good knowledge of one or both Workday & ITrent
  • The confidence and drive to communicate, negotiate and influence both internally and externally managing up as well as out.
  • Experience of working with senior business stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate a vision into achievable goals and provide clear direction to achieve organisational objectives.
  • Previous experience of supplier relationship management and working with 3rd party delivery partners to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Change oriented.
  • Good understanding of project methodologies and ITIL principles.
  • Experienced people manager/mentor (line or matrix management).
  • Commercial awareness of the importance of Management Information to ensure data driven decisions.
  • Demonstrate commercial flexibility and pragmatism.
