Senior Complex Electronic Hardware Independent Assessor


Location:

Salary:
£52,084 + depending on experience


What you'll be doing:


  • Establishing and agreeing of project assurance programme, specifically associated with CEH/PEDs/Software, in the early lifecycle phases
  • Performing critical reviews of the design information at the agreed lifecycle points providing constructive comments to ensure the design is compliant with applicable regulations and standards
  • Identifying and ensure progress to resolution any concerns raised in the critical review
  • Producing independent professional judgement statements at the appropriate certification points to support the Chief Airworthiness Engineer approvals
  • Supporting the project teams, support, and service engineering organisations with the generation of risk assessments, ensuring suitable justification exists for action and the adequacy of the proposed remedial / recovery action
  • Improving the independent assurance engineering capability within Air (specifically CEH/PEDs/Software) to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of engineers in a collaborative digital engineering environment"

Your skills and experiences:


  • Working knowledge of RTCA DO254 / EUROCAE ED80 and/or RTCA DO178 / EUROCAE ED82 Design Assurance Guidance
  • Ability to critically review design information and provide comments on them in a clear and constructive technical language
  • Familiarity with safety standards such as Mil Std 882, ARP4761A

Desirable:


  • Experience in the independent assurance of modelbased design and integration role within any lifecycle/product area
  • Requirements Engineering, Configuration and Data Management, Qualification and Certification
  • Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering and/or Security Engineering
  • Model Based Systems Engineering, Agile / Scrum Development
