Role Overview:
As a Document Controller at ROCMEP, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of project documentation and information.
Based at our Crawley office in the Manor Royal Business District, you'll work closely with our Pre-Construction team, reporting to the Pre-Con Manager.
Your role will involve monitoring and distributing incoming and outgoing tender and project information, and liaising with clients, consultants, and the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:

Document Management: Organise and download project documentation from client portals, file to ROC's internal document management system, and categorise into mechanical, public health, and electrical disciplines.

Project Support: Complete project timesheets on Delaney Cloud and issue to Project Managers every Monday. Update the 'Project Dashboard' weekly or fortnightly. Book inductions for new starters, scan, and save induction documents to project folders.

Logistics and Coordination: Book deliveries and prepare/submit RFIs and Technical Submittals in line with procurement programme requirements. Maintain up-to-date project schedules for RFIs, Technical Submittals, RAMS, and other project-specific schedules.

Support and Training: Assist the Projects Director/Contracts Manager/Project Manager in issuing project trackers during the construction phase. Implement, develop, and train ROC personnel on the internal PM/EDMS (Project Management/Electronic Document Management System), acting as the main point of contact for setup and understanding.
Health & Safety Responsibilities:
- Read, understand, and promote the Company's Health and Safety policy.
- Ensure documentation compliance with ROC and client document management protocols.
- Set a personal example of industry best practice and standards.
- Liaise with project teams in postcontract reviews to implement 'Lessons Learned' on new projects.
Commercial Awareness:
- Advise the line Manager on any commercial/cost implications arising during the role.
Sub-Contractor Interaction:
- Assist and train subcontractors on interacting with internal EDMS or client portals.
Line Manager:
Pre-Con Manager
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction or engineering industry.
- Proficiency in document management systems and MS Office.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay:
£26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
