About Our Client:


Page Personnel are recruiting on behalf of their client who are a world leader in the provision of industrial services, generating high-added value solutions principally for the Oil & Gas, Energy, Power Generation, Process, Environment and Construction sectors, with offices based in Goldthorpe.

The key duties and responsibilities of the Procurement Assistant would be:

  • To support the Operational Procurement Manager in the delivery of the procurement service to
- stakeholders by assisting with sourcing and negotiation with 3rd parties for the fulfilment of
- orders.

  • Process orders accurately and in line with all category management instructions and ensure
- compliance with internal procedures whilst communicating and providing governance to the
- business.

  • Develop a clear understanding of the business needs associated with allocated categories of
- expenditure.

  • Develop a sound understand of the ERP Requisition to Pay functionality and be able to offer
- training support to internal customers.

  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company safety rules, health and safety
- legislation and environmental standards and that operating procedures reflect current
- legislation.

  • Develop close working relationships with other key functions to ensure continued delivery of
- services.

  • Work with technical authorities and site teams to champion a specialism in order to add value to
- both the Procurement process and operational work streams by engagement and regular site
- visits.

  • Engaging in vendor relationship management to capture value offered by strategic suppliers
- whilst creating collaborative relationships to realise new value, identify innovations, maximise
- payment terms and reduce supply risk.

  • Actively and positively support and contribute to improvements and developments of the
  • Procurement and Supply Chain functions in delivering best value for money to the business.
  • Work under pressure during high volume periods whilst ensuring compliance to all department
- targets and objectives.

  • Processing in excess of purchase orders per month, processing within 3 days of
- approval.

  • Negotiate savings in adhoc opportunities to achieve 5% overall annual savings on non
- category spend.

  • Proactively engage with technical authorities to develop allocated specialism.
  • Manage order queries ensuring they're all resolved within 10 days

The Successful Applicant:


The successful Procurement Assistant will have/ be:

  • Previous Procurement experience would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong Customer Focus with the ability to manage a high volume of incoming calls.
  • Skilled Problem solver.
  • Planning & Organisational Skills with the ability to continuously review and prioritise
- workload.

  • Ability to understand 3rd party quotations and maximise savings opportunities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy of data input is key.
  • Ability to work within defined parameters.
  • A strong team focused individual able to build relationships
